A very long hike with a short "ferrata intermezzo" at the round summit dome. A decidedly solitary climb to a panoramic summit, reached via an easy protected section. In all cases, it's a tour more suited for climbers who enjoy "long approaches" and is less recommended for pure via ferrata lovers.
Via Val Badia towards San Cassiano, continuing past Passo Valparola. Just before the Sciaré bridge, turn left and continue to the "Capanna Alpina" hotel (1726 m, parking available).
From "Capanna Alpina," follow trail no. 11, which via Col de Locia leads to Col Tadega (2157 m). Soon after, take the clearly marked left-hand trail, passing a small lake "Lech de Conturines." The path leads through the valley between the Conturines peaks and Piz Lavarella. A trail on the left leads to the summit and ferrata start.
The approach is long and demanding, leading to a mini ferrata. Good physical condition, endurance, mountain experience, and stable weather are essential.
Short ferrata, well protected (relatively new steel cables and iron ladders), with no major technical difficulties.
The descent follows the same path as the ascent.
