A relatively easy climb from a technical point of view via Passo Gardena, ideal for first-time ferrata experiences. The trail is easy but not equipped except for a few short sections, so caution is required.
By car to Passo Gardena, park at the pass or ascend from Selva Gardena via the Dantercepies cable car.
From Passo Gardena, follow trail 2B "Gran Cir" for approx. 30 minutes to the start. From the Dantercepies top station, head towards Jimmy Hut and turn at the Gran Cir junction.
Gran Cir is an easy ferrata equipped only in the initial section and in the final third of the route. The last 80 metres of elevation gain to the summit include easy but unprotected climbing sections. Good footing and some experience are necessary. Children should be roped in for safety.
An itinerary with beautiful views, ideal for climbers looking to train or gain experience. The unprotected sections, though not technically demanding, require careful footing and concentration. A lovely half-day hike, especially when combined with the nearby, but more challenging, Piccolo Cir.
Return along the ascent route.
