High-altitude ferrata to be tackled only in very good weather conditions. Its length and technical difficulty make it one of the toughest climbs in the Dolomites.
Along Val d'Ega to Passo di Costalunga, continue through Cencenighe Agordino via Passo San Pellegrino. Shortly before Taibon Agordino, turn towards Voltago Agordino and then Frassené. Park near the disused lift station.
Since the lift to Rifugio Scarpa–Gurekian is no longer in use, the Agnér must be reached on foot via signpost no. 771. From the hut, head left for about 45 minutes to reach the marked start.
Long ferrata, very exposed in places. Requires sure footing and confident climbing. A short rope is recommended, especially if planning to summit.
Very varied climb for expert mountaineers capable of moving safely and independently even on unprotected sections. Caution on wet ground and in descent due to rockfall danger.
From Bivacco G. Biasin (2650 m) two options: continue to the summit (2872 m) and return to the bivouac via Forcella del Pizzon (approx. 40 min, unprotected scrambling up to grade I+) or descend directly along the normal route and after about 20 min at a fork, go left along the longer route (yellow signpost) or right along the shorter and steeper route (red signpost) via the Canalone path, returning to the refuge.
